This is the food for thought that I got from my fortune cookie from our Chinese take away dinner tonight.

And this has got me thinking on where I am now and where will I be in the future.

I guess it’s human nature to strive to become the best, or if not, do and accomplish our tasks with the best of our abilities. We strive for success, and let’s face it, we do crave for some attention from time to time. As part of our need, we need ‘others’ stroking and feeding our ego now and then.

But it’s just sad that there are some who get intoxicated by their success and change. Change for the worse, sadly. They couldn’t get enough, and strive for more, even if it is at the expense of others. But will that make them happy?

Contentment is what I realize I should have, and what everyone should have in life. One has to appreciate each milestone and each blessing that they achieve and receive. Appreciate the people around you who has/have helped you achieve and be the person who you are now.
